The Role:

European Technology for Business Holdings Ltd. (ETB) creates technological solutions for healthcare challenges using patented micro sensor technology applied to human and animal movement. The GaitSmart system is a 6-sensor kinematic gait measurement system for humans. GaitSmart marks a major development in gait assessment technology that brings laboratory validated results to the patient within 10 minutes. This first-to-market technology fulfils an underserved medical need enabling improved patient outcomes and significant cost savings.

As a Gait Therapist you will be required to work within our clinics providing a high quality service to clients. The role will involve monitoring individuals of all ages and with a variety of conditions. Using the GaitSmart system you will perform the test and produce the report. You will then explain to the client any gait or functional deficiencies and then provide a personalised exercise programme to help them achieve their optimum gait.

The role will involve travelling and working at varying locations within the UK.

The Person:

To be considered for this opportunity the applicant must have completed a degree in physiotherapy and attained a minimum of a 2:1.

Applicants must have followed a programme accredited by the Society of Physiotherapists and be a registered member of both the HSPC and CSP. The person must possess good oral and written communication skills as this is a fundamental part of the job. Continued professional development is important and therefore the applicant must be able to show yearly progress. Good knowledge of the musculoskeletal system, particularly the lower extremities is essential plus an ability to work independently or as part of a team.

The candidate should have at least 3 years of working in a clinical practice and will be able to demonstrate their ability to treat people with lower limb disorders.

The successful applicant will receive full training in the use of GaitSmart and how to interpret the results and develop suitable personalised programmes for clients.
