Second edition of the APPROACH Newsletter now available

Welcome to the second edition of the APPROACH newsletter! We wrote to you six months ago, when the APPROACH clinical study had just kicked off . Now, in September 2018, we are now happy to say that four out of five clinical centers have successfully started recruitment. The clinical study goes full steam ahead. In total, about 300 patients will participate in the APPROACH clinical study, and will be monitored across four visits, over a period of two years. The project focusses on knee osteoarthritis (knee OA) – a very common form of OA that imposes a large burden on people’s quality of life. In the APPROACH clinical study, we are specifically interested in different types of knee OA, for example fast progressing versus slow progressing, or knee OA with specifically bone changes versus cartilage changes.
