GaitSmart was presented at Falls Tech Conference 2025. We were delighted that Birthe Anderson presented her teams work regarding the use of GaitSmart in their Falls Clinic at Your Healthcare CIC. Can preoperative gait kinematic assessment and optimisation hasten recoveryand improve early outcomes in patients undergoing arthroplasty? This is a Randomised Control Trial, where GaitSmart is being used to provide a personalised exercise plan to patients preparing for hip or knee arthroplasty. The goal is to understand if providing exercises before surgery improves their outcomes post surgery.

This project aims to improve patients gait after hospital discharge through objective analysis and recommended bespoke exercises with the expectation this will improve walking and movement and through this improvement in QoL as well as future reductions in musculoskeletal and other related health conditions.
